Its distribution covers a wide range of habitats, from grasslands to gardens and urban areas. It has a wingspan of about 2 to 3 centimeters. The upper side of the wings in males is pale blue with darker margins, while females have more brownish wings with orange markings. The undersides of the wings are pale with a series of small dark spots. The flight is weak and fluttery, with the butterfly staying close to the ground, typically in proximity to its host plants.
