This arboreal frog is widespread and can be found in South Asia. It is commonly found in a variety of habitats, including tropical and subtropical forests, agricultural areas, gardens, and urban areas. Adult frog typically is 7 -8 cm in body length and has a slender body with a pointed snout. It exhibits variable coloration; including green, brown, grey and even white; and often has darker markings or spots on its body. Its toe pads are large, leading to it being an excellent climber. The male frog is known for its distinctive calls, which it uses to attract females. These calls are recognized by their abrupt, short, and rapid series of rattling “rat-tat” calls. It is nocturnal, becoming more active during the night when it hunts for insects and other small invertebrates.
